Nothing like testing to everyone. ;)
From: chugalug@chugalug.org ------------------------------------------------------ In theory, while I am sending this from my gmail account to all, the From address will be chugalug@chugalug.org and will get the mail servers DKIM, DMARC and SPF records properly because of it. Nothing better than a live test. So if you are getting this, and had not been getting previous Chugalug emails, that is probably why. Yeah progress. While I like that it gets those headers, I also like seeing the original senders email address in the list as it prompts me that "Oh, Ed King sent that, it should be good stuff or at least humorous in awesome ways". And I open it. But sadly, trust on the internet is getting hard and it can be argued that it is not hard enough. So, all future chugalug.org emails should be coming from chugalug@chugalug.org and should be DKIM and DMARC and SPF'd as Chugalug.org (mail.geeklabs.net) ON TOPIC: I've been using a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 with straight Debian 12 with just Cinnamon as my daily driver for a few months and loving it. And this was essentially a long test message.=============================================================== From: chugalug@chugalug.org ------------------------------------------------------ In theory, while I am sending this from my gmail account to all, the From address will be chugalug@chugalug.org and will get the mail servers DKIM, DMARC and SPF records properly because of it. =============================================================== From: Dave Brockman ------------------------------------------------------ Original From: Dave Brockman -------------------------------------------- I can confirm this email arrived with SPF in alignment, DKIM signature,=20 and DKIM alignment. I didn't bother checking the DMARC record, but it=20 delivered, so my mail server must have agreed :) Mailman does some rewriting with the friendly name of the sender, so it=20 would look like: From: "Mike Harrison via chugalug" Food for thought.... =============================================================== From: "Jeffrey A. Wormsley" ------------------------------------------------------ I don't know what DKIM and DMARC and SPF are, but I got this message. I had to change my filter because the old messages had a capital C in Chugalug and the new one doesn't, and while email isn't case sensitive, GMail filters on email addresses apparently are. Or I set my filter up in a dumb way. All just to say your test message was received. Jeff I t
