php meetup tomorrow?
From: Ed King ------------------------------------------------------ Just wondering if we're gonna have the php meetup tomorrow? I invited a young lady (ex co-worker) to join us. She's an aspiring web dev I've kicked around the idea of starting some sort of beginner php training class(es). "PHP for Dummies, taught by Dummies (me)". But I dont want to compete with the PHP meetup group. Plus I'm too broke to pay attention much less fund a series of classes.=============================================================== From: Michael Harrison ------------------------------------------------------ Assuming you are talking about: https://www.meetup.com/chattanoogaphp Probably happening. Tempting to stop by, but even though I use PHP, my world is so different than the Laravel, Symfony etc.. users worlds my heads spins when they talk. Re: Ed teaching PHP classes: I'd watch that on youtube and point people to it. It could go either way, Ed in a snazzy suit and a boom mic and a Ted Talk vibe. Or Ed in grungy geeky T-Shirt, with a Classic Nova in the background, whacking on a huge clacker keyboard attached to a pile of arcane computers while editing code vi or emacs and not some fancy IDE... Either way, it'd have a sense of humor and I'd learn something. On Tue, May 31, 2022 at 9:30 PM Ed King wrote:

=============================================================== From: Ed King ------------------------------------------------------ Thank you Lee! That was a very good meetup. I've done php for 20+ years but I am a relative newbie to Laravel so this meetup really helped me a lot. Thank you!
