Google Workspace replacement

2022-01-24 by: Joe Freeman

I am seeking suggestions for platforms to replace my Google Workspace
environment. I've got about 20 users in it, and was grandfathered into the
GSuite legacy Free Tier because I was one of the original beta testers for
Google Apps for Domains.

Google has decided to retire/eliminate/attempt to monetize the free tier as
of May 1, 2022, with costs starting @$6/user/month for the Business Starter

I'm considering any solution less than $720/year, but obviously lower cost
is better. I'm not even averse to hosting it myself at this point.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone else use Google for their
mail servers these days?

=============================================================== From: Dave Brockman ------------------------------------------------------ If you want to come over to the dark side, MS Business Basic is only=20 $5/seat/month. That comes with online and mobile version of apps plus=20 50Gb Exchange Online and 1Tb OneDrive. How about $100/year for 20 users? Now, with that being said, there is a pending ~20% increase coming to=20 365 licenses at the end of March. At the same time, MS will add a ~20%=20 fee to monthly billing vs annual billing. I would recommend purchasing=20 sooner rather than later, and using the annual installment option. I can also automate email migration from G to 365, but that comes=20 with a $15/mailbox utility. I only have one client currently using G=20 for the business email, and I have no idea why. They already have MS=20 licensing, and already have the domain configured in their tenancy.=20 Just one of those things we will figure out (and correct) together (new=20 client). Reach out off-list if you have any interest in discussing further. With Gratitude, Dave Brockman r=20 ness=20 =20
