Made my day.. Trying to make a serious video broadcast rig. My once glitch
was getting a virtual camera to work under Linux was flaky rocket science.

The latest version has it built in! WOOHOO!!

Gotta get the latest from them directly... but it works.

Am using a Nikon 5100 (200mm lens) with unofficial patched firmware via
http://simeonpilgrim.com/nikon-patch/nikon-patch.html
To get clean HDMI out and use , and a CamLink 4K HDMI encoder (works on
Linux!) And don't laugh: Ubuntu Studio. Which is working well on an older
HP Envy I7 Laptop w/16Gb of Ram.

I'm setting up to help Nancy's church broadcast mixed in person and live
services, but this rig does Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc.. with that virtual
camera, all from LINUX!

Historically, the Virt Camera trick only worked well on Windows. So yeah
OBS!

=============================================================== From: Andrew Rodgers ------------------------------------------------------ I just set up droidcam with my old Pixel3's and it looks fantastic, way better than any old USB webcam, or the GoPro Hero8 I was using. It apparently works well in linux with OBS as well, though I haven't tried it yet. Just in case you want a second cam to switch to. DroidCam works over either WiFi or USB, so you can do remote cams with a bunch of old reused cell phones. On Mon, Mar 8, 2021 at 8:00 PM Michael Harrison wrote:
