I had a little time (< 1 hr) to download and do a quick install. ZFS file
system. Wow. Been a while. It's got a package manager "pkg" and can
install the basics pretty quick. A very plain installer even by Linux
standards. "pkg install joe" got my favorite text editor...I see nginx in
it's repos but not Apache.. MySQL, MariaDB with some extra effort, lots of
Python.

Unless someone else tells me they want to do this, I'll see what I can
help with tomorrow for Alan.

=============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ Yeah, as long as the ZFS pool integrity is good, it should be easy to transfer. I am otherwise occupied today right now. On Fri, Feb 21, 2020 at 11:55 PM Mike (meuon) Harrison wrote:

=============================================================== From: Michael Harrison ------------------------------------------------------ Your phone call was a big help. We'll know in an hour or two if it works. Thank you! They will need your paypal/zenmo address. Met a very very bright young lady with some serious beginning sysadmin skills. I've invited her to the list. My nickname for her is "Perl". Not sure how/if she'll appear to the list, that's her choice. But you can guess what language she uses. ;) There had a backup system/methodology in place. It went down Monday. Drive failed Thursday. 'Cause that's how things work. Will be glad to meet her! Another practitioner of the dark Perl arts is always awesome. Paypal is my email address: UB3RATL4Sf00@gmail.com On Sat, Feb 22, 2020 at 4:05 PM Michael Harrison wrote:
