Why Chattanooga is great for Open Source

From: David White
I'm writing a blog article (on my company / business blog) about why
Chattanooga is great for Open Source.

Granted, anytime I write a blog article, I'm looking to increase business
exposure and get my name out there. That said, I'd welcome any input,
feedback, or quotes from some of you.

If I include your insights, I'll be sure to link to YOUR website. :)

=============================================================== From: William Roush ------------------------------------------------------ From my perspective we have a really dense amount of open-source initiatives for our size, such as the Chattanooga's Library hosting of our local Open Chattanooga group meetings and looking to hire an Open Data Specialist. We have Gig Tank which provides resources for startups, which seem to lean more open source than large established companies . We also had GeekMove which provided lots of financial incentives to get IT savvy people to move to Chattanooga, where they asked about your experience in open source projects. The city wasn't only interested in laying gigabit fiber, but is willing to put forth the money required to start scraping talent from other cities. Also I'd say the gigabit fiber was a factor in me moving here personally. William Roush william.roush@roushtech.net http://www.roushtech.net/blog/
