=============================================================== From: Bret McHone ------------------------------------------------------ Now if he could just get Jolt cola and Doritos to sponsor he would attract every gamer in the nation! -B

=============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ Indeed. Awesome Job Aaron!

=============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ Cheetos man, cheetos. He needs to get Monster in on it. I hate Monster, but they are like gaming cocaine.

=============================================================== From: Bret McHone ------------------------------------------------------ +1 to the Cheetos. =20 Sadly about the only game I play anymore is a bit of Mechwarrior Online, = and even that is very limited. -B gaming cocaine. attract every gamer in the nation! http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2013/nov/15/iron-gaming-epb-bury-hatche= t-launch-chattanooga-ga/

=============================================================== From: David White ------------------------------------------------------ I've been thinking about getting into Mine Craft.... Never been a big gamer myself. Only one I sort-of got addicted to as a kid was SimCity 2000. =)

=============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ I liked MWO, all I get to play anymore is either Skyrim or World of Tanks.

=============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ I run a Tekkit minecraft server. Minecraft is pretty fun if you were the sort of kid who loved LEGOs

=============================================================== From: Bret McHone ------------------------------------------------------ I run a mine craft server for some friends and guys at work here from my = house. There's a few on there that have built some pretty elaborate = buildings/structures. You're welcome to hop on an play around if you = want, just contact me off list. I will warn you that it's just a dual-core driving it so *PLEASE* go = light on TNT=85 I've only had to kick one guy for doing that so far=85. = be built a mountain of TNT and I accidentally hit it with my TNT canon.. = When it went off my poor server cried for about 15 minutes before I = finally just killed the process and restarted the mine craft server. I rarely hop on mine craft at all these days, but it's a decent = distraction for a few minutes at a time. -B kid was SimCity 2000. =3D) wrote: Online, and even that is very limited. gaming cocaine. attract every gamer in the nation! http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2013/nov/15/iron-gaming-epb-bury-hatche= t-launch-chattanooga-ga/

=============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ Yeah, I detonated a nuke on my server. Didn't crash, but lagged hard for a bit. Might run a tekkit server on the blades I'm getting from Jason tommorrow. , t t a t d d tchet-launch-chattanooga-ga/

=============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DRh5DLvDdSI0 Tekkit is my preffered Minecraft mod, adds computers, electronics, power systems, reactors, more minerals, and construct-able assembly lines and automated mining. =============================================================== From: William Roush ------------------------------------------------------ So what happened to the $9,000/mo EPB gig fiber line (or the $25k cost EPB claimed it would take on their end)? What about the $300/mo Comcast service that TimesFreePress tooted as the solution? Was that not cutting it? William Roush william.roush@roushtech.net http://www.roushtech.net/blog/

=============================================================== From: Aaron welch ------------------------------------------------------ We would love to have you guys come and participate at the Iron Games (event mentioned in the article) or let people know about it. Friday night will be a good night for people to come with their families and check out Minecraft related activities, game with their kids, and learn about using gaming to provide incentive to kids. As for EPB, our efforts with children have bridged the gap so to speak. They see the value and virtue of our efforts and are helping us grow those efforts in the Tennessee Valley. On a less marketing fluffy note, we need geeky individuals to help with some of the Minecraft projects we are sponsoring with the schools in the 5 surrounding counties (TN and GA). We are using the Rasberry Pi and Arduino to promote things like: http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/4595 http://arghbox.wordpress.com/2013/06/13/programming-minecraft-pi-with-python-early-draft/ You can find out more about the Iron Games at the link below: http://www.irongames.org Thanks in advance for any support you can give and I really hope to see some of you at the event. -AW
