Is there any way to address mac file system

Without a MAC? I got an all in one mac with a twitchy video that tends locks up.
It got used as a back up now I have to get those 250 GB of files off.
Since it is stable in CLI, it looks like running the machine with PING or clonezilla are the best bet.
Anny other options? I really don't want to crack this all in one mac open.

Might be a way to turn on ssh from cli, but i dont know how to do it.

=============================================================== From: "kitepilot@kitepilot.com" ------------------------------------------------------ Can you boot it from a live-CD? ET Rod-Lists writes:

=============================================================== From: Aaron Welch ------------------------------------------------------ Macs can boot in FireWire drive mode. Google to find out if yours is one of them. -AW

=============================================================== From: Bret McHone ------------------------------------------------------ Yeah, target mode is the way to go. Just hold the "T" key down on boot and it serves the Mac's hard drive as a firewire drive. Easiest way to get any data off if it is stable in that mode.

=============================================================== From: Aaron Welch ------------------------------------------------------ Not sure how this helps with no video. How do you get the IP to login? Static DHCP? Reverse ARP it? -AW

=============================================================== From: Aaron Welch ------------------------------------------------------ Thanks Bret, I forgot what it was called earlier. :-) -AW it serves the Mac's hard drive as a firewire drive. Easiest way to get any d= ata off if it is stable in that mode. te: ocks up. r clonezilla are the best bet. en.

=============================================================== From: Bret McHone ------------------------------------------------------ No problem! I just remember it because thats how we cloned Macs at TVA about 8 years ago. I also ended up using it on my macbook pro about 4 months ago when I swapped out disks on it. (gotta love Carbon Copy Cloner). -B

=============================================================== From: Aaron welch ------------------------------------------------------ I have very successfully used Time Machine for all of my drive swaps. It is amazing how painless that process has become on a Mac. Now a PC on the other hand. -AW

=============================================================== From: Rod-Lists ------------------------------------------------------ that is my plan or USB and use PING or clonzilla. http://ping.windowsdream.com/ But that leaves me dealing with the full partition and not just the files I need to pull. ----- kitepilot@kitepilot.com wrote:

=============================================================== From: JonathanCalloway ------------------------------------------------------ Rod, I am at work, and the cable is at home. I can try to stop by tonight, if you like. If you work down town, perhaps I can drop it off somewhere tomorrow during the day. Tomorrow evening is out, for me, though. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rod-Lists" To: "Chattanooga Unix Gnu Android Linux Users Group" Sent: Tuesday, April 2, 2013 11:39:15 AM Subject: Re: [Chugalug] Is there any way to address mac file system When can I borrow one? ----- Jonathan Calloway wrote:
