=============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ Yeah, its Fox News....nothing to see here.

=============================================================== From: Chad Smith ------------------------------------------------------ Except he is discussing the allegations on his tweeter feed... I mean, seriously - hate on Fox News all you want, but thinking that because they report on an event that the event did not happen is assine and retarded. I saw a report of 9/11 on Fox News - "I guess it never happened then, huh? Great news for all those terrified, grieving New Yorkers!" *- Chad W. =============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ Come on now Chad, you are being obtuse, I am talking about the obvious slant of Fox News, these are the guys who brought us Bill 'No Spin Zone' O'rielly (despite his OBVIOUS spin) and Glenn 'Mad Max' Beck Don't get me wrong, I loathe CNN, MSNBC, and pretty much all others, but Fox News takes the cake for me nd d rote:

=============================================================== From: Chad Smith ------------------------------------------------------ Slant? This story has nothing to do with conservative vs liberal. There is no agenda here. Some reporter allegedly gave his old log in information to a bunch of script kiddies who basically tagged a news site with graffiti. FoxNews reported on the event/allegations. Saying there is nothing to see here, and that you don't believe anything they report is ridiculous. I guess the economy is doing awesome. I wonder who the President is, because FoxNews keeps saying it is Barack Obama, so I assume it's not him.... *- Chad W. =============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ I'm not talking about this particular story Chad, I am talking about Fox News as a whole. Please, calm the hell down and stop. Also: Saying stuff like 'I wonder who the President is, because Fox News keeps saying it is Barack Obama, so I assume it's not him....' Is pretty sad an argument, because it works on the assumption that since Fox News reports basic FACTS right, surely the rest of their stories must be fact filled and unbiased. So stop it, frankly its an embarrassing way for you to argue. Also: http://politicalhumor.about.com/od/foxnews/a/Stupid-Fox-News-Quotes.htm To be frank, they may say Obama is president, but they won't stand by him and the economy/budget/gas is ALL HIS FAULT Welcome to Fox News.

=============================================================== From: Dan Lyke ------------------------------------------------------ False equivalence. If the correlation between Fox News and truth is 0, then if Fox News claims the president is Barack Obama, they've got a 50% chance of being right. If you're willing to cherry pick claims, they could have a negative correlation that's > -1 and you could still find enough correct claims, bounded mostly by the number of overall claims made. And, of course, depending on how you quantify "right". Dan

=============================================================== From: Chad Smith ------------------------------------------------------ This particular story is what was being referenced. And the lack of any even potential of a slant on this particular story means that attacking the source was not only stupid, but pointless. This story was merely a reporting of facts. Bringing up any emotional issues you have with the source had nothing to do with anything. That was my entire point. The claim was made that since Fox News reported it, there is no reason to acknowledge it. That is beyond the pale. The accused man has publicly acknowledged the events on his personal Twitter account - (a fact that I pointed out in my first comment on this thread) - to deny their existence because the source you were given is one you do not agree with politically is just dumb. In other words, it is the ones who are bitching about Fox that need to "calm the hell down" and "shut up". *- Chad W. Smith*

=============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ Doesn't excuse your logical fallacy Chad, sorry. Also, doesn't excuse one of the worst news agencies in the world.

=============================================================== From: Lynn Dixon ------------------------------------------------------ I usually equate Fox News with about the same amount of credibility as I do The Onion. I do however like to read Fox News articles simply because its so damn funny how much they can spin an article, and then realize just how much the Fox News "Sheeple" will eat it up and believe it word for word. Its almost as bad as the people the believe the Enquirer.
