=============================================================== From: Chad Smith ------------------------------------------------------ I don't think WIndows 8 is going to be a huge flop. I think it is going to get Microsoft into the capacitive tablet market in a big way (I say it that way because I know Windows was on "Tablet PCs" over a decade ago.) I do hate the interface - on a laptop/desktop computer, that is. And I remember reading somewhere that they have removed the ability to disable the Metro interface - at least as a default. Meaning you would have to click "Desktop" every time you booted up or logged in or restarted to get to the "normal" Windows experience. Before you could just select a (probably pretty well hidden) option to go directly to the Desktop everytime. Why they would think forcing people to use it will make them like it is beyond me. It is NOT designed for the desktop. It is NOT designed to be used with anything other than touch. It is a HORRIBLE user experience if you can't tap on things, or slide things, etc.. *- Chad W. Smith*
