=============================================================== From: Jason Brown ------------------------------------------------------ I will take WP over Joomla any day. WP is like Windows, it's pretty easy for a layman to use and update their content once it is setup for them and just about anything you want to do, there is a plugin for that. BUT, just like Windows if you are going to expose it to anything (like the Internet) you need to make sure you take the proper security precautions. A few simple things will keep all the script kiddies out: (most of these work with Joomla too by the way). 1. A decent .htaccess file. 2. Proper permissions on your files and folders (no chmod -R 777 bullshit). 3. Keeping up to date on patches and updates. (In the last year the WP team has gotten 2000% times better at not leaving gaping holes). --Jason
