ftp server

I've got an Ubuntu home server up and running and I've also just set up ftp=
 service on it. I got the service up and running and I can view the ftp pag=
e from another computer in my house by typing ftp://192.168.1.16 in the add=
ress bar. The problem it's pretty much blank. The think is I don't know how=
 to attache a directory on the server to the ftp service. I did set a few t=
hings in the /etc/vsftpd.conf file but didn't see where you specify the fil=
e path to the upload/download shared directory. 		 	   		  =
