Any good? 1SaleADay has 'em on sale for $140 (Android 3.0)

=============================================================== From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ Quoting John Aldrich : BTW, this is the Streak 7, refurbed and loaded with Android 3.0 "Honeycomb"

=============================================================== From: Chad Smith ------------------------------------------------------ Only 3 issues I can see. 1. No video out 2. low resolution screen 3. not ice cream sandwich. Other than that, seems like a good deal to me.

=============================================================== From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ Quoting Chad Smith : Supposedly the O/S is upgradable, it originally came with Android 2.2. As for the other two, what do you want on your portable device? It's a heck of a lot smaller than a laptop/notebook computer. :D If you could get a Nook Color for a similar price, would you get the Nook or this?

=============================================================== From: Chad Smith ------------------------------------------------------ Not the nook the Dell is the better of those two products. my Acer Iconia a100 has everything the Dell has and the three things I pointed out. you can find those refurbished for about $169 or so. =============================================================== From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ Quoting Chad Smith : Ok. I found An Iconia A "VanGogh" with 8 GB ram for $180 on Ben's Outlet. Other than that, the cheapest I've found via Froogle is $190. :( The Streak has 16 Gigs of RAM. *sigh* I just don't know which is the better deal... more RAM or better resolution, video out and "Ice Cream Sandwich". :(

=============================================================== From: Phil Sieg ------------------------------------------------------ John, all of your questions depend on use. For me Video out is a non issue, I will never use it in that way. = Resolution only needs to be "good enough". Ram equals = performance/storage. I also would tell you that a rooted Nook color is a hell of a great = device for under $150 (I had one). Currently I am using a Samsung Galaxy = Player 5.0 and it is my favorite Android device to date FOR MY NEEDS. Decide how you will use this thing first. Then the other questions get = easier. =============================================================== From: Chad Smith ------------------------------------------------------ It does NOT have 16 GB of RAM. it may have 16 GB of storage. if the resolution and lack of video out aren't important to you then go with the Dell. It is a good deal.

=============================================================== From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ Quoting Chad Smith : Good point. It's 16 Gigs of STORAGE, which is can be "upgraded" with a (micro?)SD card. That being said, 16 Gigs of storage is a HELL of a lot of storage. :D

=============================================================== From: Dave Brockman ------------------------------------------------------ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I find 16GB of storage on my phone to be more than sufficient (to cache file syncs) and be a phone. =============================================================== From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ [snip] Dang! Maybe I shoulda waited. :D Oh, well... if I've still got my job then, I'll get one of those Android 4.0 tablets. :D OTOH, hopefully it won't be too difficult to upgrade this from Honeycomb to the latest and greatest Android for Tablets! :D

=============================================================== From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ Yeah. I got a Streak. :D
