There are discussions in other circles pointing out how the NSA and
their representatives have (successfully) lobbied for weakening crypto
standards for decades. Reminds me of the OpenBSD IPSec issue,
although I don't recall anything odd being found, and I'm pretty sure
there was at least one complete audit of the code performed....
