I have a dead iPhone that is being replaced through insurance. The phone was submersed in water and died a slow horrible death. Before I send the dead one to the insurance company, is there a way to ensure my data cannot be retrieved from the phone? In other words, is there a data card that can be removed or is the flash memory soldered on the board?
