Let me preface my statements by saying this is what I remember, but I  
could be mis-remembering. :)
Theoretically, if I recall correctly, you can get 10Mb/Sec over a  
single pair, but for 100Mb/sec or higher you really need two pair,  
minimum. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. :)
