Yes, running storage fabric across networking equipment is a tiny bit
complicated.

Your storage network should be separated from your data network.  So
if you are looking at one of these NAS appliances, and want to run any
of the nifty plug-ins, anything besides iSCSI basically, this is *not*
the device you want to run as your back-end ESXi storage.
