I've been using gym for colo for a while now. No problems at all.

We have our phone system through Peace. Can't say anything about colo but they have been great to work with otherwise.

Call Jim - 423-664-8900. He's got other customers in there with a single machine, so I don't think it will be a problem.

Aaron and Joe,I am only needing 1U of space and 3 Network drops.  One for the HP iLo and the other 2 for bonded nics. Do you think they would be willing to take on a 1U machine for a decent price (competitve to Joes and ColoPronto?)

Second Aaron.

Disclaimer - I used to work for Jim, and still do the occasional side job here and there.

They have space at 11th and Central - probably more than you need if you were only paying $35/month. If you need a cage, they have that space here in town as well as in Nashville.

Peace Communications has been pretty helpful.

All,It appears I may be looking for a new co-location provider.  I have been at Smith and Hammaker in Knoxville for over 2 years now without any problems and HAD been a happy customer.

Fast forward to today: I get an email from the new CIO telling me they "Re-evaluated their pricing to best suit everyone needs" and then he proceeded to tell me my co-location contract would be increasing from $35/month to $410/month.

An increase of 12x without any notification or justification is just not good business, and I am slightly pissed as you might imagine.
So, do any of you know of any good local co-location facilities in the area that have decent pricing?  I really want to stay local, but I am willing to co-locate far away to get good pricing..

I have had good experiences with these 2, and I may end up going with one of these guys again:
