I suspect had Petraeus run his own email server, on his own
infrastructure, obtaining that information might have been
considerably more difficult to obtain (from his side), and I also
suspect that particular logic/ruling will be challenged from someone
with more techno sense in the very near future.  Pertraeus's
particular case is not where this battle will be won, nor really even
fought.
