That's where that server at Thrasher came from... and that was Netware
286 IIRC... PXE booting a bunch of diskless IBM monstrosities....

They caused catastrophic nasty things to happen because Novell ran
every process at ring 0.  Minor OOPS! and the entire server ABENDs.
It was either late in the 3.x train or possibly even 4.x train before
you could tune this at all, and this was the default until 5.x or 5.5!
