Here is an excellent short tutorial for Wirecast for YouTube -- the software that turns your Mac or Windows into a
switchable mini television studio.
It sure would be nice if this software were available for Linux, but since it's not, let's try use this software
to help people learn the values and possibilities of open source.

Subject: [Chugalug] YouTube opens livestreaming to accounts with 100 or more subscribers
A few days ago YouTube announced they're changing their rules for free livestreaming on YouTube, lowering the number of subscribers
from 1,000 to 100.
I confirmed with Christine at Telestream that the Wirecast for YouTube software will be free for anyone who enables
livestreaming on their YouTube account, even with just 100 YouTube subscribers.
Wirecast for YouTube turns your Mac or Windows computer into a small television production studio -- with camera switching.
See my recent MAKE magazine blog post at http://tinyurl.com/kdpzwr9
YouTube livestreaming is particularly relevant to Chatt, with its EPB fiber network.
The public library should probably be thinking about offering one or more workshops on how to use
Wirecast for YouTube (free) and/or the higher end Wirecast programs. The Chatt community should find some
youth with the free time to explore this stuff who can help teach such a workshop.
If you don't have a YouTube account yet, you should create one. Doing so strengthens your community, even if you
don't publish any of your own videos. Your regular Gmail login lets you create a YouTube account in like two minutes,
best as I recall.
